About Us

Our Story: Roots and Beauty Connecting Worlds

Deep in the misty valleys of Yunnan lies a little-known paradise for plants—this is where Flower Gardens began. Our story started with a botanist’s relentless pursuit of natural beauty and has since grown into a bridge connecting garden lovers across East and West.

Our founder, Yuan Li, grew up in her grandmother’s garden. Grandmother’s camellias bloomed in the morning fog, roses climbed ancient stone walls—these childhood memories nurtured a dream: to share the treasures of Yunnan, the “Kingdom of Plants,” with the world. After two decades of careful cultivation, we’ve established this hundred-acre ecological nursery in Yunnan. It is not only a home for plants but also a sanctuary for biodiversity.

Nature’s Gift, Scientific Care

Yunnan’s unique geography and climate nurture some of Earth’s richest plant resources. Our nursery is located in a pristine, unpolluted valley where every plant enjoys irrigation from natural mountain springs and abundant sunlight. We follow natural growth cycles, refuse harmful chemicals, and allow plants to grow in the healthiest way possible.

We understand that true plant lovers value the promise of “true-to-name” plants. Therefore, we’ve established a strict quality control system: every batch of seeds has traceable numbering, every seedling undergoes three quality checks. Whether it’s classic Chinese peonies or rare clematis varieties imported from Europe, we guarantee genetic purity and accurate variety.

In our nursery, native Chinese plants thrive alongside rare varieties from around the world. You’ll find new hybrids of English roses and Yunnan wild roses, Japanese maples growing beside Chinese peonies. This cross-cultural blending of plants embodies the Flower Gardens philosophy: beauty knows no borders, nature connects us all.

A Bridge to Global Gardens

A decade ago, we shipped our first international order—a Yunnan-specific golden camellia to Chelsea, England. Today, we’ve developed a mature global plant logistics system. Each plant undergoes:

  1. Professional cleaning

  2. Custom moisture-retaining packaging (maintains ideal humidity for up to 20 days)

  3. Climate adaptation guidebook

  4. Real-time tracked Fedex priority shipping

We collaborate with global plant conservation organizations to ensure all cross-border plants meet international environmental standards. With a shipping loss rate below 0.5%, we take pride in our care.

A Dialogue Between Eastern and Western Horticulture

Walking through our nursery, you’ll witness astonishing scenes: French roses neighbor Chinese monthly roses, Japanese maples shade Yunnan alpine rhododendrons. This cross-cultural blending is not only a visual feast but the core of our philosophy—the most beautiful gardens always embrace diversity.

We regularly invite Western horticulturists for exchanges, co-developing new varieties adapted to different climates. Simultaneously, we’re committed to protecting Yunnan’s endangered native plants, investing a portion of sales into local ecological conservation.

Join This Green Revolution

Every plant that leaves Flower Gardens carries sunlight and rain from the Yunnan highlands, plus the warmth of our team’s hands. When you plant it on your London balcony, California patio, or Berlin windowsill, you’re not just cultivating a plant—you’re joining a beautiful conversation across continents.

We believe gardens have no borders, and beauty needs no translation. Welcome to the world of Flower Gardens—where every leaf tells a story, and every growth is a miracle.
