Its glossy purplish-black berries (11.6-17.1g) offer 95.8% edible rate—juicy, sweet-tart, with tender flesh and easy seed separation. Perfect fresh or canned (with a rich rose aroma). Thrives in USDA zones 8-10, preferring acidic soil (pH 4.5-6.5) on north/northeast slopes (5-25°) below 300m.
