High Noon Peony (also called Hai Huang Peony) is a classic hybrid tree peony. It boasts clear lemon-yellow blooms with red centers, a rich lemon fragrance, and blooms early in the season—sometimes reblooming in summer.
Famous by its English name “High Noon,” it’s widely grown in North America, cold-hardy, reliable, and high-yielding. It won the Gold Medal from the American Peony Society in 1989, suits zones 4-8, and has blooms up to 20cm wide.
Our bare-root plants (3-5 stems, sold by stem count) ship only in late fall/winter. More mature than single-stem ones, they may bloom 1-2 years after planting.
